Why

Because nothing made should disappear.

Most work is used once and lost. This practice keeps the record — the thought, the material, the making — so a garment, a painting and a word can be read as one continuous act.

What

Asaba, Delta State.

Made in the south of Nigeria, from Igbo material and memory. The place is not a backdrop; it is the source the work keeps returning to.

Every study begins in the field and ends in the archive. Nothing is styled that was not first understood. The five stages are fixed; what moves through them is not.
